건국대학교 법학연구소(소장 박병도)는 오는 16일(금) 오후 1시부터 ‘인도의 법률 이슈 현황(Current Legal Issues in India)’을 주제로 국제학술대회를 연다. 코로나19로 인한 안전문제로 7월 25일까지 수도권 사회적 거리두기 4단계 시행에 따라 현장행사가 아닌 줌(Zoom)을 이용한 온라인 방식으로 진행이 되므로 접속링크를 통해 참여할 수 있다.
이번 학술행사는 최근 인도에 대하여 국가 차원뿐만 아니라 기업 차원에서 인적·물적 교류가 확대되고 있는 상황에서 인도법에 대한 연구의 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 관심이 증대하고 있는 인도에 대한 이해를 확장하기 위해 인도법의 주요 동향을 살펴보고자 본교 법학연구소와 인도 진달 글로벌 로스쿨(Jindal Global Law School) 교수들이 공동으로 준비한 자리이다.
당일 행사는 1부와 2부로 나누어 진행되며 1부는 최병규 교수(건국대학교 법학전문대학원)의 사회로 Arpita Gupta 교수(Jindal Global Law School)의 ‘Regulating Microfinance for Financial Inclusion & Development: A Chronological Analysis of Microfinance Regulation in India’, Sandeep Kindo 교수(Jindal Global Law School) 의 ‘Reconciling the Constitutional Gender Equality Rights and the Gender Discriminatry Custom in Indian Courts’라는 주제 순으로 발표가 진행되며 김병연 교수(건국대학교 법학전문대학원), 정연덕 교수(건국대학교 법학전문대학원)가 주제별 토론자로 참여한다.
2부는 장교식 교수(건국대학교 법학전문대학원)의 사회로 정용환 교수(Jindal Global Law School)의 ‘Understanding Indian Mediation: Comparison with Korean Mediation Programs’라는 주제로 발표가 진행되며 박병도 교수(건국대학교 법학전문대학원)가 토론자로 참여한다. 각 주제별 발표 및 토론에 이어서 1부에서 발표를 하였던 인도 발표자들과 함께 종합토론을 진행한다.
